KIDZOWN

Welcome to KIDZOWN.  The children’s program at Living Hope Family Church.  My name is Rachel, and I am the children’s leader.  Our program starts at 10am along side the main church, and finishes when the adults finish theirs.  It is mainly catered for children from the ages of 2 years old and upwards to the end of primary school.

Kidzown is a program which enables the children to have their own church service and take part in activities that they would not normally have if they were in the main church.  The first part of the program the children sing songs and have musical instruments where they can participate with other children.   There is a time for 2-3 games and also every week, there is food provided for the children to have a snack and break from the activities. 

The second part of the program is when there are lessons that involve a bible story, or relating issue.  The children are encouraged to ask questions and put their ideas forward.  Also either during this time or after, there is craft, which will help the child to remember what they have learnt.  During this time, younger children can do drawing or other things while the older ones are learning, and discussing the lesson. 

During special times of the year, for example Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc, the children will do something different to incorporate that particular event. 

There are always two people in the room who are supervising.  The parents of the children need to sign the children in and out when they are dropped off and picked up.

JUNIOR YOUTH CONNECT GROUP

Our Junior youth Connect groups are targeted at Primary School aged children. We meet every Wednesday night in Westmeadows. There is plenty of fun to be had as well as learning more about God in a pleasant, safe environment.
